Sometimes the alcoholic is the nicest person you can imagine while they are sober, but after a couple of drinks, they become as destructive and crass as a bulldozer over a string of ants. Sometimes they are a “happy”, “calm” or “quiet” type of drunk and the mood swings will instead only kick in when their alcohol runs out.
