One problem that many people have when they are having issues with their throat is that they do not know exactly what is causing it. If you wake up with a sore throat in the morning and it goes away by the afternoon, chances are that you are just suffering from dry air or maybe the after-effects of simply sleeping with your mouth open because you are getting over a stuffy nose.
However, if you constantly feel soreness in your throat and you have some of the other symptoms on this list, it is a good idea to go to the doctor in order to determine the underlying cause. It may be a virus or bacteria that is causing you to have problems with your throat. It could also be a sign of throat cancer. Your doctor will be able to run tests in order to determine what is causing your throat to be sore.
