5. Loss of Voice
Many people who are suffering from throat problems will notice either a change in their voice or that they will not be able to speak at all. When you try to talk, air goes through the windpipes.
If the windpipes are infected and become inflamed and swollen, it can make it difficult to speak. A common cold or simple throat irritation can make speaking difficult. If you are suffering from strep throat, you may find speaking difficult as well. This symptom is more severe in people who have developed strep throat.
One of the best things that you can do is to try not to speak as often. You can write down or mime your needs until you begin to feel better. Taking the time to rest your voice can help your throat heal faster when you are suffering from an infection such as strep, laryngitis, pharyngitis, or other health ailments relating to the throat.
