There are many different ways that you can relieve the pain of your sunburn. Here are 20 home remedies to try the next time you stay out in the sun for too long.

1. Minimize Exposure to the Sun

The first and most important thing that you can do if you have a sunburn is to simply stay away from what caused it in the first place. If your skin is burnt you need to try to stay out of the sun as much as possible in order to allow your skin some time to heal. It is especially important to stay inside from the hours of 10 am until 4 pm. These are the times that the UV rays are typically the strongest.

When you do go outside it is important to make sure that you put on a hat, wear light clothing that is light in color, and to wear sunglasses to help protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.
