4. SAD
SAD is ‘seasonal affective disorder’. This is a condition that causes us to feel tired and even depressed during winter months, as a result of a lack of sunlight.
When we don’t get enough sun, this in turn prevents the production of many mood-regulating hormones and neurotransmitters and this is what is generally thought to be responsible for the condition.
The best ‘cure’ for SAD is to spend more time outdoors. Failing that though, getting more vitamin D from your fish oil can help a great amount.
