4. Muscle Weakness
Tendons connect the bone and the muscles. This is their purpose. If a tendon is injured, it can cause the muscles in the area where the damaged tendon is located to become weaker as a result. If the tendon is not repaired right away, the muscle may atrophy.
This can make it take a long time to regain strength in the muscle that is affected. When the muscles start to weaken, you may avoid using it, which in turn will make it even weaker. This can lead to a vicious cycle because as the tendons and muscles weaken, they become more prone to injury.
This is particularly true in the shoulders, knees, and elbows. One of the best ways to avoid tendonitis is to exercise often. Make sure that you do not over do it with exercise as this can cause issues as well. It is important to find a good balance.
