3. Stiffness Around the Joints
The tendons are responsible for facilitating movement. They are what make the muscles move the joints. If the tendon becomes damaged, you may notice that your joints are stiff. When one of the tendons becomes inflamed it can cause movements to become stiff or even achy.
This stiffness and achiness are caused by the inflammation as the tendons are not capable of doing their job in the way that they were meant to. If you are experiencing achiness or stiffness in your joints, there is a good chance that you may have damaged a tendon.
The inflammation of the tendons will make it difficult to move freely. The first step you need to take is to reduce the inflammation. Rest and ice can help with this. Once the inflammation goes down, movements should become less stiff. Stretching out can also help loosen up the tendons, which will allow the joints to move more freely.
