5. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic fatigue syndrome, which is also called myalgic encephalomyelitis is disabling fatigue that will last for at least several months. Aside from feeling tired all the time, there are other symptoms of this disorder as well. Insomnia, pain in the muscles or joints, headaches, sore throat, swollen glands, difficulty thinking, concentrating, or remembering things, and flu-like symptoms are all common signs of chronic fatigue syndrome.
Exercise can make the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome worse. At times the effect of exercise is delayed and you may not feel tired until several hours after you have exercised or possibly the next day. Treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome is tailored to your specific case. It may include medications and making some lifestyle changes.
Some people will fully recover from CFS, while others will still have symptoms on and off for long periods of time. Your doctor will help you determine the best course of action for your particular problem.
