7. Cramping or pressure in the lower belly and/or lower back
In more advanced cases of bladder infection, patients experience pain or a feeling of pressure around the bladder or kidney area. The pain isn’t altered when we change positions.
This is often a sign of major concern because it means that the infection is starting to spread across the lower abdomen and up the urinary tract. When bacteria reach the kidneys, the case becomes far more serious, and can even be a threat to the person’s life.
If you feel pain or pressure in these areas and already have symptoms of urinary infection, you should go to the doctor right away in order to prevent problems derived from a kidney infection.
