5. Painful Bowel Movements or Urination
Endometriosis can affect a great deal of your body – and especially any systems that happen to be closely connected to your digestive or urinary system. Many women who have been diagnosed with endometriosis experience problems with painful bowel movements or urination and this can be due to several different factors that go along with the condition.
In the advanced progression of endometriosis, the pain experienced during movements could be due to scar tissue that has attached itself to the body – and a lot of women will describe this as an uncomfortable or painful “pulling” or tearing sensation when going to the bathroom.
This can point to the fact that you might need surgery – or immediate hormone treatment – to bring your symptoms under control. Make an appointment with your doctor if you have been experiencing this as a symptom at all, especially when it’s been happening in combination with any of the other symptoms on this list.
