4. Skin Yellowing
Some people might remember an episode of House that had Dr. House examining a man who was steadily starting to turn orange: The eventual conclusion of the episode was that the man had an addiction to drinking far too much carrot juice – and the natural colorant in the carrot juice had settled in his liver and kidneys, turning everything from his hair to his skin yellow.
Why did we just tell you all of this? Because it’s a great way to illustrate another symptom of fatty liver in a practical way: The liver’s job is to filter out toxins in the body – we’ve already told you that, right? And in this case, when the liver is no longer able to do its job because of disease then one of the first signs will be that your eyes and skin start turning yellow – this can also be a common sign of kidney disease, so watch out.
