Varicose veins are formed with the blood vessel walls start to weaken. The veins will become swollen and twisted and may appear to be closer to the skin. Most of the time varicose veins are simply a cosmetic issue as they do not really cause many health issues. For those who have mild cases of varicose veins, there are several home remedies that may help fight varicose veins. However, in severe cases, medical treatment or surgery may be required.

Home remedies for varicose veins include making healthier choices in regards to activity, nutrition, and daily routines. These natural remedies can help to alleviate some of the symptoms of varicose veins, such as pain and swelling as well as helping with the treatment and recovery process. If you suffer from varicose veins, following these natural remedies may help ease the pain and possibly avoid needing medical intervention or even surgery.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is known to be a powerful cleanser that can help reduce swelling and inflammation, clear the skin, and improve the circulation of the blood. It can also help to improve blood flow throughout the body as well as decrease the varicose vein size. Apple cider vinegar can be used as either an internal treatment or a topical treatment.

To use it topically you will simply rub some pure apple cider vinegar onto the area that is affected. Make sure that you massage it in the area for about five minutes. This should be done twice a day.

Another option is to add a tablespoon of it to a cup of water then and drink the mix once each day for a few months. You can add some honey to make the mixture more tolerable to drink. Drinking apple cider vinegar has many proven health benefits, including helping to reduce varicose veins.
