Pain and cramping in the genitals don’t always mean something if it just happens once or twice, and it can be considered normal if it can be tied to hormonal changes such as a menstrual cycle. But if you experience pain and cramping as a chronic symptom or it starts happening more regularly than you are comfortable with, make an appointment with your doctor to help find the cause.
It’s a symptom that can be caused by more things than can be listed in the scope of just one article, but it’s also a symptom that can commonly accompany some parasitic infections and STDs such as trich.
Don’t assume that it’s the kind of symptom that’ll go away on its own. In most cases, there’s something deeper causing it and it’s not going to go away until you’ve had the proper condition treated in the right way. Just see your doctor!
