4. Constant Doubt
Don’t get us wrong, it’s essentially guaranteed that mothers will have worries as to whether or not they can handle the task at hand. Raising a kid is no joke. This is especially true for mothers who had premature births. Alternatively, children born with special needs or an illness can also raise concerns. However, excluding those situations, the doubt shouldn’t be constant beyond the first two weeks.
Mothers generally build up some semblance of confidence — enough to not doubt themselves constantly — as time goes on. If you find that most of your day is filled with doubt then this could be a symptom of postpartum depression. One of the first things that you should do is bring this up with your partner so that they can reassure you that you’re doing a great job.
