While vaginal swelling can be associated with a number of conditions, it can definitely be a sign of Trichomoniasis. Therefore, if you experience any swelling in your vaginal area, it is important to abstain from any type of sexual activity. It is also extremely important that you schedule an exam with your healthcare provider to determine the cause of the swelling. If Trichomoniasis is the cause, medications can be administered to clear the infection.
