6. Cold or Flu
If you suffer from an infection, then this can be a very serious complication that might lead to asthma or simply act as a trigger. Remember, when your body has an allergic reaction, it does so because it believes that something harmless is, in fact, a dangerous toxin. Those tears streaming down your face are intended to flush the germs from your eyes and all that swelling is there to bring blood and antibodies to the site.
When you have an infection however, you really do have something dangerous in your system and the body will react in just the same way – by causing swelling, producing mucus, etc. In fact, this is one of the ways that the healthy population will occasionally experience what asthma is like!Therefore, a cold or flu can be a serious trigger for asthmatic symptoms and if you should experience an attack, it might be significantly worse as a result!
