5. A fever
Another symptom that people who develop shingles experience is a fever. Just like your immune system may make you feel sick to your stomach in order to drive the virus out, it might also make your temperature rise.
When your temperature is higher than normal, your body becomes a less hospitable environment, which is meant to kill the pathogen that is making you sick.
Typically, a fever associated with the shingles virus is low grade; however, it could potentially become high. If you have a fever that reaches more than 101 degrees F, check in with your doctor.
