3. Mustard
Mustard is a wonderful spice if you’re looking to lose weight – and you can’t make a proper pork roast without it; yes, that’s the traditional German way to approach a large piece of pork that’s been glazed and stuck in the oven: Usually with a pineapple glaze.
(As a general tip, pineapple juices and pieces naturally tenderize meat – hence its use in marinades and roasts. Mustard as a condiment is made from the seeds of the mustard plant – which gives it its tangy taste.
(You can also usually buy mustard in a powdered or ready-made form, and usually also in mild and tangy forms.) They’re a great addition to sandwiches as well and can be used as a flavoring, sparingly, to most dishes to add something new and interesting to it.
Mustard is also a great way to speed up your metabolism – and subsequently, shake the weight that’s been holding you back.
