14 Common Flu Symptoms

Most people will suffer from the flu at least once in their lives. Many people catch a strain of the flu every year. There are vaccinations that can help reduce your chances of catching the flu, but they do not protect against all strains. The flu can be rough, and you may be sick for up to a week.

Everyone experiences different symptoms, but some are more common than others. There is no cure for the flu, but you can treat the symptoms until the virus leaves your body. It’s important to know the symptoms of the flu so you can have an idea of whether or not the virus is causing your symptoms or if there is another medical problem causing them.

While there is no cure for the flu, it’s a good idea to get a proper diagnosis to rule out a more serious problem. Some people do require hospitalization if the flu is too severe.

1. Sudden Fatigue

One of the first signs of the fly is often sudden fatigue. Many people don’t realize they are sick and simply feel tired for a few days before any other symptoms appear. The fatigue may be present even if you are getting plenty of sleep and rest. Many people struggle to understand why they feel so tired and simply try to sleep to feel better.

In some cases, fatigue may not make you as sleepy as it makes your body tired and exhausted. Many people are unable to go to work or school because they simply can’t get out of bed. Some people find it hard to stay awake for any amount of time. This can make it harder for them to seek medical attention and get a proper diagnosis.

There are many things that can cause fatigue, but the flu is one of the most common. Drinking plenty of fluids and getting plenty of rest are the best treatments.
