6. Insomnia
Have you been finding that you are experiencing more and more difficulty falling asleep? Insomnia can come in many different forms and affect people in many different ways and this is only one of them. For some people the problem is not with falling asleep in the first place, but with staying asleep throughout the night – and these are people that will wake up in the middle of the night and be unable to fall back asleep again.
If this becomes a chronic symptom, then it can very quickly start to affect your life in a whole range of unpleasant ways – including causing that you feel like you can’t function at work because you didn’t get any sleep. Insomnia can be a direct symptom that you are suffering from depression, and treating the depression is sometimes enough to make insomnia go away on its own. If it is not, then your doctor will prescribe something for it.
