4. Nausea
The term nausea refers to a discomfort in the stomach that may cause the sensation or feeling like you want to vomit. In some cases, feeling nauseous is a precursor to actual vomiting the contents of the stomach. There are many reasons that a person may feel nauseous and some of the causes of nausea can be prevented. Certain foods, medications, or even motion may cause a person to feel nauseous. When a person has a small bowel obstruction, it can cause a feeling of nausea.
This can be because the obstruction is making it difficult to pass food through the digestive system. The blockage may be in any part of the digestive tract from the stomach to one of the intestines. When the food cannot make it through the digestive tract it can cause the stomach to become upset and cause a feeling of nausea.
