3. Decreased Appetite
Being hungry is a normal part of life. After all, eating is what keeps us alive. When a person finds that they are no longer eating or that they simply have a reduced desire to eat, it could be a sign that there is something wrong with the digestive system. The medical term for a loss of appetite or a reduced desire to eat is anorexia. A decrease in appetite can be caused by a number of conditions ranging from mental to physical.
One of the reasons that a person may have a loss of appetite is because of a bowel obstruction. When the bowel becomes obstructed it can make it difficult to eat or want to eat, especially if the blockage has made it difficult for the food particles to pass through the digestive system. If you are struggling to eat or simply find that you do not have as much of an appetite as normal, make sure to discuss it with your doctor.
