5. Physical Pain
There is a great link between your mind and your body. When a person struggles with mental health issues, there is a good possibility that there are going to be physical issues that appear as well. Many people will simply dismiss aches and pains as a part of the normal aging process. However, sore muscles, backaches, headaches, and other physical pain within the body can be a sign of depression.
If you are experiencing any type of physical pain that is not associated with a direct illness, there is a good chance that there is a mental issue that you are struggling with. Anxiety and depression can both cause you to experience different types of physical pain along with the mental anguish that you are likely feeling. It is important to not simply write off any physical pain that you have and discuss it all with your doctor.
