6. Quit Eating Out
Eating out can be extremely destructive to any eating disorder. However, that is especially true when it comes to bulimia. The problem with eating out is that the food is intended to make you want more. It is specifically designed to set off the pleasure centers in your brain and make you addicted to that food. That’s how restaurants keep you coming back over and over and over again.
It is also what causes binge eating and bulimia. That means that if you want to avoid binge eating, then you want to be making food at home for yourself and ensuring that you do not eat out very often. If you find that you are addicted to the food of the specific restaurant, then you definitely want to avoid that restaurant while you are in the initial stages of recovering from bulimia.
