Hepatitis C is very contagious and being exposed to the blood of someone who has been infected with Hepatitis C also increases the risk of developing the infection.
One of the main symptoms of Hepatitis C is the liver becoming inflamed. If you have any of the symptoms of fatty liver disease you should be tested for hepatitis C. Even though there are many other causes of fatty liver disease, it is important to make sure to rule out this bloodborne infection. If hepatitis C is left untreated it can cause a host of other health issues, which is why it is important to make sure that you are tested for it as soon as possible.
