When a person has high levels of sugar in the blood it can be an indication that they have developed diabetes. When a person has high blood sugar levels it can also mean that the liver is not doing its job of filtering the blood properly. A person that is prediabetic or has developed type 2 diabetes is at a higher risk of developing other diseases as well, this includes the fatty liver.
Once again, a person who has diabetes is more likely to be overweight or obese. This is one of the main causes of fatty liver disease. If you are diagnosed as being prediabetic or if you have type 2 diabetes, it is important to make sure that your liver is checked as well. Your doctor will likely recommend making some important lifestyle changes in order to help alleviate some of the symptoms that you may be experiencing as a result of the disease.
