6. Intense nausea
A very common symptom associated with heatstroke is nausea. If you are exposed to high temperatures and start to feel your stomach churning, there is a pretty good chance that you are suffering from a heat stroke. Why does heat stroke often lead to nausea? – It has to do with the loss of water and electrolytes, which leads to dehydration. The hotter you are, the more you sweat, which can spark a queasy feeling in your stomach.
At first, nausea may be subtle, but as heat stroke progresses, it will become much more pronounced. Drinking alcohol and sugary beverages or consuming any type of food can make nausea more intense. If you are extremely hot and notice that you are experiencing an upset stomach that makes you feel like you want to vomit, it’s in your best interest to seek treatment for heatstroke.
