5. Heavy Drinking
Alcohol consumption is again not a recommended habit, even if it’s in small amounts. Some people turn to alcohol as a way to forget all their problems, which only makes the situation worse. Alcoholism is a hereditary disease that can make a person dependent upon alcohol for their very survival. Needless to say, consuming a large amount of alcohol on a regular basis can lead to several complications, both mental and physical. Brain aneurysms are just one of them.
It’s recommended that a heavy drinker gets regular screening for brain aneurysms as well as for several other problems. Even if they’ve been clean for several months, they might still be at risk for such irregularities. Those in charge of guiding alcoholics through a rehabilitation program should be responsible for making sure such screenings are done on time. It’s best to be alert rather than be surprised.
