3. Sleeping Position
Many people who experience sleep paralysis report that it happened while they are sleeping on their backs which is a supine sleeping position.
On the other hand, very few people reported experiencing sleep paralysis when sleeping on their stomachs or sides which means that sleeping position can affect the REM that results in sleep paralysis.
