5. Fever
Typically a person who has walking pneumonia will not develop a fever. If they do, the fever will typically be mild and low. The fever may take a few days to become severe. In some people, a high fever may develop and a person may experience body temperatures of up to 105 degrees F.
Developing a high fever is more common with bacterial or abnormal pneumonia. If your fever becomes too high it can cause many other health issues, so it is important to keep your fever under control using over the counter medications, cool baths, and other methods to bring it down.
