5. Scaly skin.
The rash caused by ringworm can be scaly in appearance. This happens when the skin breaks, which occurs as the infection progresses. The scales become more pronounce as you scratch the rash.
It’s important to exercise extreme caution when the skin starts to scale, as this skin infection is highly contagious and you could end up spreading it if the scales fall off your skin.
If you do develop scaly skin as a result of ringworm, try to cover up as much as possible. Long sleeves, socks, and long pants could prevent the infection from spreading
