4. A high fever
One of the telltale signs of a heat stroke is a fever. The longer your body endures high temperatures, the greater the risk of a fever. It makes sense, too, as your internal temperature will naturally rise when you are exposed to high degrees of heat. At first, your temperature may rise slightly; however, after prolonged exposure to heat, your temperature could rise dangerously high.
If you are feeling faint, nauseous, and seem confused and your temperature is also high, it is very likely that you are suffering from a heat stroke. A temperature that is above 102 degrees F or higher is considered dangerous – especially when accompanied by other symptoms of a heat stroke. Immediate medical care is vital to ensure you don’t suffer from additional negative effects. The longer your fever runs high, the worse the effects can be, including the possibility of death.
