14 Ways to Use Baking Soda

3. Rid your skin of irritation with the use of baking soda.

It helps to get rid of insect bites and poison ivy. With these two issues, it can cause itching and irritation, especially if you scratch the area for a long period of time. When using it on the skin for rashes and itchiness, make a paste with it. Always use water when making a paste.

Rub it gently onto the area that is affected. It can be applied without water as well. It may be messier, but it will have the same effect. It works so well because it neutralizes toxins and irritants on the skin. Eczema sufferers will benefit from using baking soda.

Since it’s natural, it can be used as often as needed. It might work better by placing it onto the skin without adding water. You may want to wear certain clothing when using it on the skin because the baking soda will be noticeable, especially if you wear a low-cut blouse and irritation is on your chest.
