14 Ways to Use Baking Soda

2. Cleanse your hands with baking soda.

Instead of using harsh chemicals found in store and name brand hand cleansers, use baking soda. In order to use baking soda as a hand cleanser, mix three parts of baking soda to one part of water. Scrub your hands thoroughly, so it will get rid of the germs. It won’t leave crumbs on your hands either.

You will be left with fresh-smelling hands without the redness and itchiness that can come from using hand cleansers with chemicals. Even natural hand cleansers that are found at health food stores have ingredients that can irritate the skin.

It may seem like it’ll be difficult to use baking soda when you’re out, but it can still be used. The only thing you’ll need to do is to put it into a lock tight container to prevent it from spilling everywhere. You may even get others to use it as a hand cleanser.
