4. White Rice
Similar to bread, most people know that long-grain brown or jasmine rice is often preferred over plain white rice. While brown and jasmine rice has more nutritional value than white rice, this also means that each of these types of rice contains more fiber as well.
For this reason, if you are going to eat rice while you are on a low fiber diet it is best to choose plain white rice instead. White rice has a lower amount of fiber and can be eaten while on a low fiber diet for your diverticulitis.
