4. Difficulty with Urination
Another symptom that can be associated with Trichomoniasis is difficulty with urination. This sexually transmitted infection can cause inflammation in the urethra, which can end up making it difficult to urinate. You may notice that you feel a significant amount of pain when you are trying to urinate and that pain can make it hard to empty your bladder. There are several other issues that can affect both the male and female genital areas that can result in difficulty with urination; a yeast infection or kidney stones, for example.
However, it is impossible to determine what is making it difficult to urinate without a full physical exam. So, if you are having a hard time emptying your bladder, make sure that you schedule an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible. In addition to conducting a full physical examination, your doctor will also ask you a number of questions about your sexual activity. The results of your exam and the answers you provide your doctor will determine if you have Trichomoniasis.
