4. Popcorn: One Cup
Popcorn is an ever-popular snack that people mostly associate with going to the movies – but that’s not all it’s good for, and it turns into a great snack when you start to crave something. Popcorn is extremely low in calories when air-popped at 31 calories per cup, and you should remember that you can make popcorn much healthier by eliminating (or changing) the two elements that hide the most calories: The oil and the toppings.
There are plenty of health-friendlier toppings that you can put on your popcorn rather than drowning it in butter or caramel – and you’d be surprised at how many more things can be air-fried or popped if you want to make a change for being healthier.
Remember to check the labels if you are buying popcorn from anywhere else, because the calorie count will almost certainly not be the same – and this is especially true with microwave popcorn, even those who claim to be friendly to people losing weight.
