2. How is menopause different from perimenopause?
Perimenopause can be said to be the period of the life of a woman before menopause can occur. The body of the woman starts the menopause process, and this means that the production of hormones from the ovaries has started to reduce. It is during this time for some women that they start experiencing hot flashes and they may also notice that their menstrual cycle is not as it used to be, but it has become irregular.
Once the woman has not experienced menstrual cycle for 12 months consecutively, then the menopause stage begins. Experiencing hot flashes can be a bad experience for too many women because it makes them uncomfortable and even comes with bad effects. These are some of the effects that can make women notice that they are having perimenopause and they should now know menopause is approaching. Women can control such feelings by ensuring they avoid doing things that can contribute to hot flashes.
