19 Questions Women Are Afraid to Ask About Menopause

At some point during women’s lifetime, she undergoes a transition called menopause. It is when a woman stops having a menstrual cycle for about a year. Women should know that this is a normal cycle that is experienced by all women and it is the beginning of the end of being reproductive. Some women know what happens during menopause while some do not have even little knowledge of what are the effects of the menopause and what they will experience.

It is a unique phase that is encountered by every woman although some may experience minor symptoms while others may have a bad experience with hot flashes that are extreme, gaining weight and even having vaginal dryness. It does not matter the different experience by different women, but all women should have the right knowledge when it comes to their menopause.

They should talk to a healthcare expert who can advise them accordingly so that these transitions can be smooth.

Here are 20 questions women are afraid to ask about menopause:

1. What is the age when a woman may go through menopause?

While this question may look obvious, it is not easy. It is because all women are not the same but in most cases, the menstruation cycle for most women will stop between the age of 4 to 55, and the menopause average is 51.

To some women, menopause can start even without the knowledge of the woman, and she may not discover whether she is undergoing any changes. These changes may start in the early forties in some women while others may not experience these changes until they reach fifties hence it will depend on various women.

Telling whether you have an ovarian cyst

The genetic of a woman is what determines the age at which the menopause of a woman may start. Therefore, most women may experience these changes around the same ages as that of their sisters and mothers. However, other factors may also contribute such as chemotherapy, smoking and decline of the ovary that can lead to early menopause.
