
2. Sweating
Excessive sweating is one of the first symptoms that can be associated with most diagnosed cases of serotonin syndrome, and the onset of this symptom will typically happen at least a day or two after someone has been given the added dose of serotonin their body isn’t supposed to have (and isn’t able to subsequently process in the right way).
If you notice that you’re sweating too much and you have a racing heartbeat, seek immediate medical attention.
Depending on the severity of the symptoms, it can be one of the signs that point towards serotonin syndrome, but it can also point towards a vast variety of other medical emergencies that includes a heart attack and panic attack.
