2. Pain in the abdomen
As mentioned, the gall bladder is located in the upper right portion of the abdomen, just below the liver. When it is under attack, as a result of gall stones or a disease that affects the gall bladder, it can become inflamed.
This inflammation can lead to pain in the upper right portion of the abdomen. When the gall bladder is inflamed, it puts pressure on the abdomen, hence the pain. It may start off as a mild, nagging pain at first, but it will worsen over time.
It is usually experienced in the upper right abdomen, but it can extend to the middle, too.
