Your body accumulates plenty of toxins over time: It’s in the food you eat, the air you breathe, it’s even in the soil you walk on. Toxins are so commonplace that there’s almost nothing you can do to completely avoid exposure to toxins except for locking yourself up in a large, insulated bubble forever. Or, of course, you can just detox instead.

Fasting is one of the best ways to detox – though you should remember to combine a fasting routine with plenty of fluids, including milk and water, and never to extend your fasting time for too long. If you want to stay healthy, never fast for more than a couple of days at a time – you’re trying to improve your health, not set a world record.

Combining plenty of fluids with your fasting spell ensures that you aren’t dehydrating in the process, and you are still able to take in more nutrients from milk and juice than you would think.
