3. Hair loss
Another common symptom associated with lupus is hair loss. This condition causes widespread inflammation of the skin, which could cause damage to the hair follicles, thus causing the hair to fall out.
You might notice more hair collecting in your shower drain or in your brush, and you might visibly see the hair on your head gradually becoming thinner.
In some cases, the hair can fall out in clumps. You could also lose hair on other parts of your body, including your arms, legs, eyebrows, and eyelashes. The hair can grow back, but if it is caused by discoid lesions, hair loss can be permanent.
