While you may already know that eating too much salt can be linked to high blood pressure, you may not know that eating too much sugar can cause high blood pressure as well. In fact, eating too much sugar may be even worse for you than salt.
Recent research for dietary guidelines regarding heart health suggests greatly reducing the number of processed sugars a person eats. Fructose is the biggest culprit as it is often added to processed foods as well as drinks.
If you have been diagnosed with high blood pressure or have borderline high blood pressure you should be reducing the amount of sugar that you eat.
