2. Fever
A person suffering from diverticulitis will often develop a high fever. This fever could reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more and may be accompanied by chills.
This fever may indicate peritonitis, which is a condition that infects the lining of the abdomen. If you have developed a fever and have some of the other symptoms of diverticulitis it is important to go see your healthcare provider right away.
While a fever is a common symptom of many different illnesses, if you are experiencing abdominal pain along with it, medical attention is necessary.
