3. Craving Caffeine
This is a symptom that tends to go along with withdrawal from any kind of substance, and you cannot avoid it no matter what substance you are talking about. The first symptom you will experience if you have suddenly cut out something addictive, whether it’s cocaine, sugar, heroin or coffee, will be the fact that you are suddenly craving the very thing that you have cut out.
This is completely normal, and your best bet to get through it is to ignore the craving entirely, or to replace it with something that’s healthier; often this kind of addictive craving happens to be nothing more than psychological, and will especially happen if you tied the addictive substance to a specific ritual in your daily life, such as waking up in the morning or taking a break at work. The best thing you can do for yourself is to find replacements and to cut out the addictive substance completely.
