
2. Clove Oil
You may have heard of the benefits of clove oil for reducing pain from a toothache or even infected teeth, dental abscess, or other major problems. One of the main reasons for this is due to the reduction of inflammation that clove oil causes. That means that if you have swollen gums, oil of clove can help. Clove oil is not the most pleasant thing to put on your gums, but there is no doubt that it is effective.
If you have a bottle of clove oil, then you should combine it with about the same amount of water – or if you have it on hand coconut oil is even better – and then apply it directly to the gums that are swollen. You can leave it on there for about 10 minutes before you rinse it off. You should notice and an immediate reduction in the swelling and the bleeding should stop momentarily.
