2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has a very high acidic value. However, it provides an alkaline effect when metabolized within the body. For this reason, apple cider vinegar can help to alleviate some of the symptoms that are caused by food poisoning. ACV can actually soothe the lining of the gastrointestinal tract and will kill the bacteria that are found there. This can provide almost instant relief for many of the symptoms of food poisoning.
To use apple cider vinegar as a remedy you will want to mix 2 tablespoons of ACV with a cup of warm water. Drink this mixture before you eat. Another option is to simply drink straight apple cider vinegar before a meal. This can be difficult for a lot of people as this does not taste the best. If mixing it with water is still difficult to swallow, try adding some honey to the mix to sweeten it up.
