2. Period
In the most simple terms, when you are going through your period every month, your body takes a lot out of you in order to expel the endometrial lining – this is, after all, blood going out of the body, and you will find that you often need to compensate for this during your period: This is why women often have specific cravings during the time their period hits.
Vital minerals and other nutrients are being drawn out of their body and need to replaced as the cycle continues – not having the right iron levels when you are about to go through your period can mean that you are more likely to experience fluctuations in the flow and heaviness of your period, and anemia can even mean that you start missing periods over time – or that your period is more irregular than you would normally expect. Anemia should always be addressed, up to your iron levels around this time.
