3. Urges to Defecate
IBS is shorthand for Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and pretty much most of what it really does to you and your body is right there in the name: The main thing that IBS does to the body is caused irritation and inflammation of the stomach lining and digestive tract, and this in itself is what gives rise to the next symptom that we’re mentioning here.
Many people who suffer from IBS find that they have the almost immediate urge to eat the moment that they are done eating – and this can be a sure sign that you should have yourself checked out for IBS immediately, since it’s very likely that this sudden urge to defecate is because your bowels and stomach are becoming inflamed right after you eat. It goes without saying that this sudden urge to defecate can also be embarrassing when it happens at the wrong times: Nobody wants to suddenly go to the bathroom in the middle of a board meeting.
